What is the SASE exam? How students can achieve satisfactory academic performance?
What Is Sase Exam?
SASE is Security Administration and Engineering exam is a specific exam of the EC-Council. It is an internationally recognized certification for network security. This exam was created to assess the individual’s knowledge of network security and to ensure that he has the required skills to protect and defend networks from attacks.
EC-Council has released this exam in collaboration with the SANS Institute. SANS Institute is a non-profit organization that offers training, certification, research, and development for information security professionals. It is recognized as one of the most respected organizations in this field.
EC Council has been working with SANS since 1997 when they started offering two levels of certification based on the SANS’ curriculum. These certifications were designed to test the competency of individuals in implementing security measures based on the NIST 800 series publications. EC-Council also launched its own Cyber Security Analyst (CSA+) certification in 2002, which was based on the SANS’ GSEC curriculum.
In 2004 they worked together again to create a different level certification, called Certified Network Defender (CND). However, in 2006, EC-Council decided to launch its Security Administrator (Security+) certification based on its curriculum. They also released a different level certification for network security called Certified Network Defender (CND+), which was based on its curriculum instead of SANS.
NIST 800 Series Publications
To ensure that their students are familiar with NIST 800 series publications, EC Council worked together with SANS again in 2008 to create another level of certification. This is called Security Operations Center Analyst (SOCA). However, it was only available for government employees.
In 2009 they released another level of certification called Licensed Penetration Tester (LPT) which is related to what ethical hackers do or what penetration testing is all about. In 2012 they started offering another level of certification called Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), which was released under its curriculum instead of SANS’.
